Markus Vallien (1969) lives his philosophy. He works with craft and interacts with nature in a number of ways that explore the relationship between that what is made by human hands and the rest. It is also this meeting that gives the preconditions for his life.

Markus Vallien born in 1969. He lives on a farm in Småland, Sweden, where he works with self-sufficiency, cultivation and forest keeping. Handicraft and craft are a part of his daily life and philosophy. Markus lectures on self-sufficiency, life in the forest and survival techniques. He gives corses as a visiting lectur at Konstfack University College of Art, Craft and Design. His interest in exploring the relationship between human, nature and technology leads him to expressions and materials that stand in contrast to increaseingly urban surroundings.
